Vinyl Disorder Review

I'm sure you have seen that in the last year or so wall decals have become all the rage.  I really admire them because you can do such cute things to decorate your house.  But I sadly have not tried one for many reasons.  So when Vinyl Disorder contacted me to do a review I was really excited.  First let me tell you a little about their company.

Vinyl Disorder is a vinyl company that produces custom decals, decals for the home,  car decals, band music stickers, sports sticker, banners, vehicle lettering, dirt bike and sport bike graphics, boat lettering, business decoration, website decals, auto-mobile decals and graphics.

They make the decals just prior to shipping, ensuring optimal quality and life expectancy.  They use high quality vinyl, with a 6+ years manufacturer rated outdoor life.  The decals can be used on any smooth hard surface like cars, trucks, boats, windows, mirrors, mailboxes, or just about anywhere you want to stick a sticker.  Their decals come in a wide range of colours and even glow in the dark!  You can even design a custom decal if you are so inclined.


So the first step was choosing a decal we would like. As I browsed around I noticed they have very decent prices.  I have looked at other decal companies but Vinyl Disorder has the best pricing I have found so far. I decided to do one for my eldest sons room because as of late (due to reading The Hobbit)  he has become really interested in dragons.  There were literally hundreds of different dragons and it took us quite a while to choose the one he liked best.  Then I choose the colour, they have several colours  you can choose from to best co-ordinate with your decor.  I choose a very dark navy to offset the light blue of the boys room.

After placing my order I received my decal very quickly, which I like in a company.  Then we took it out of the very secure packaging and read how to put it up. Now this was the part I have always been a little leery of.  My husband and I are not the best at doing decorating stuff and so I was worried we would mess this up. Vinyl Disorder has a quick video on how to apply your decal which was very helpful and after watching it I felt a little more confident.

Putting it up took two people because it was a large decal.  If it had been smaller I could have put it up myself.  It was surprisingly easy and looks amazing, even on the panelling of my sons room. The decal is very tight to the wall, that was my other reservation, especially in a kids room.  I didn't want any edges sticking up that would attract little fingers to pick at it.  But is is so well applied that there are no unsecured spots.

The Cons

The site has so many decals for each category that it is a little overwhelming when trying to find a certain style.  I think if they put more description into the names for each decal it would make the search easier.  All the dragon ones were labelled "dragon" with numbers after it, but if they had put something like "dragon with wings" or "dragon breathing fire"  it would have made my search more effective.

I would recommend this company to anyone wanting to get a vinyl decal.  They make a great product, have excellent prices, and are fast in shipping and provide good support for their customers.
